Solution
KARL is an AI driven planning tool, essentially a smart calendar, designed specifically to be integrated into existing farm management software. KARL utilises data from, sensors and satelites helping farmers create the optimal schedule.
KARL aimes at automating task scheduling for arable farmers and agricultural subcontractors while taking simple steps redirecting farms towards sustainable management.
iOS og Webapp
I created a webapp for the farm manangers to use for planning and coordinating tasks, and an iOS app for the employees to use in the field to track their daily worktasks instead of using paper and pen.
The user interface had to fit their workprocesses and take into account that the farmers are using it in the field with cold dirty hands.
The iOS app was usertestet and the beta version was used by a farmer who iterativelu provided feedback.
(The web app was never finalised or tested with users as we pivoted towards an API business model)
